The Chief Adviser to King Rothbart, Orbereth was the highest ranking talking animal in all of Narnia. His greatest moment came not with something he did but something he refused to do, to place the crown of Narnia on Jadis' head.

A badger son to Rothbart, Orbereth comforted the old widower after the loss of the Crown Prince. His faithfulness was born of true love, a love he extended to the country for which he lived and died.

The greatest of all the Mages of Narnia, the "Star of Orbereth" was named after him, the most prestigious award for courage above and beyond the call of duty.

Orbereth Diggins was a Knight Grand Cross in the Order of the Lion and was born in the town of Bryon on Wells where he was always known as "Papa" Orbereth.
